Au-delà de sa simple mise à jour, rendue nécessaire par l’évolution de la langue, on s’est attaché à étendre le vocabulaire couvert et à enrichir la liste des mots arabes correspondant aux différents sens d’un même terme français. Il a également paru utile de présenter les mots en écriture arabe et pas seulement en transcription latine. Pour autant, par sa taille, ce lexique ne saurait prétendre au nom de dictionnaire.”
