الذي يدفع شخصًا للانتحار ليس أكثر من معركة تحدث بداخله، معركة تستهلك طاقته كل يوم، هي زحمة أفكار وقرارات ورغبات واضطرابات لايعرفها إلا الشخص نفسه؛ نحن وبشكل يوميّ ومع بداية كل يوم جديد نخوض معركة واحدة على الأقل في حياتنا، البعض يخوضها من أجل المال، السلطة، النفوذ، اليأس، أو حتى الموت، لكن لن يخضع أحد لقرار الانتحار إلا عندما يخوض معركة دامية مباشرة ضد الحياة؛ فقسوة المعركة مع الحياة ليست في هزائمها، وإنما في شعورنا الدائم أن مهما حققنا من إنجازات وانتصارات سنهزم في النهاية.
