Painting: “In Carle’s shoes”

In the style of Eric Carle* we will be creating some super fun and unique artwork. We will use Acrylic paint and different tools to create textures, cut & paste and turn all this into a fabulous collage.

*Eric Carle was an American author, designer and illustrator of children’s books. His picture book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” was first published in 1969, has been translated into more than 66 languages and sold more than 50 million copies.

Workshop 2

Printmaking: Foam printing

Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from one surface onto another, most often paper or fabric producing several copies of the artwork. Traditional printmaking techniques include woodcut, etching, engraving, and lithography, screen-printing among others.we will be learning how to engrave a foam plate , how to ink it properly and produce fabulous results using simple tools & techniques.
