I didn’t expect it but I found motherhood to be the most challenging thing I’ve done to date. Getting pregnant much later in life after a long struggle with infertility meant I felt isolated from friends and people in society because I wasn’t a mother. Two and a half years after I had my twins, I continue to find the advice I get from people to be one extreme or the other.
